Nowadays, is the Humankind allways able to direct its destiny towards the necessary humanization (i.e. to build the world with what it has better so as to avoid the disaster of the worst) ? This issue arose in the conscience of us all. Despite the major political decisions that states must take, it behooves us, as individuals, to do everything we can, as the Native American legend of hummingbird (sometimes called the "bird fly" or the "flowers friend") teaches us... 
This legend says : « One day, there have been a huge forest fire. All animals, terrified and powerless, watched this disaster. Alone, the little hummingbird reacted by looking for a few drops of river water in its beak to throw them on fire. Twisting and turning through the mad maze of fire, the little hummingbird flew bravely on. Then it once more, flew back through the flames and smoke towards the river, dipped itself in the cool water to look for a few drops, and flew back again over the burning forest. Back and forth it flew, time and time again, from the river to the forest, from the burning forest to the river. After a few time, armadillo, annoyed by this derisory action, said, "Colibri! are not You crazy? Do You really think that a few drops of water can put out a forest fire? "The hummingbird replied:" I know, but I do my work... " ». |
